Hyundai's all-new Elite i20 unveiled at Auto Expo 2018

The new Elite i20 embodies Hyundai's Modern Premium offering for global customers. The Diesel version starts at Rs 6.73 lakh and goes way up to Rs 9.15 lakh. Though it features Hyundai's new "Cascade" grille, it is the slim LED daytime running lights positioned above the main headlights that really give the vehicle a distinctive face. Priced at Rs 5.35 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the new Hyundai Elite i20 Facelift now sports cosmetic updates on the outside as well as inside while the mechanical front remains untouched. The bumper also gets a new design with an integrated spoiler and arrow-head fog lamp housing. Moreover, the hatchback was also spied ahead of its official India debut proffering a closer look to the vehicle. The bookings for the new vehicle are open. The new i20 comes with 6 different colour options along with three dual tone options.

"The new 2018 Elite i20 is a product of our continuous R&D efforts. the product is aesthetically designed with premium interiors and modern looks that make it truly appealing", HMIL MD and CEO YK Koo told reporters here. The screen also is more responsive, while the inclusions like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are something continued from the previous gen. i20. The former is a 1.2-litre Kappa dual VTVT petrol mill which is capable of generating max power of 82 bhp of max power with peak torque of 115Nm while the latter is a 1.4-litre turbocharged diesel engine that produces 89 bhp and 220Nm of power figures.

The petrol version is powered by 1.2 litre engine while the diesel trims come with 1.4 litre powertrains.
