France Calls For Opening Of Humanitarian Corridors In Syria

Turkish state news agency Anadolu reported on Friday that Turkish armed forces struck 19 targets overnight, as part of its ongoing operation inside Syria.

Meanwhile, at least 1,141 People's Protection Units (YPG) militants have been "neutralized" since the beginning of Turkey's "Operation Olive Branch" in Syria's Afrin, the Turkish General Staff said also on February 10.

Turkey on January 20 launched Operation Olive Branch to remove Partiya Yekitiya Demokrat/Kurdistan Workers' Party and the Islamic State from Afrin.

The Observatory said government forces opened a corridor for IS fighters to leave areas in Hama and Aleppo provinces where the extremists were under siege to reach the rebel-held Idlib province.

The UN official highlighted "reports of civilians including children being killed and injured as a result of airstrikes and ground-based strikes" by the Turkish army in the Syrian Kurdistan (Rojava) enclave of Afrin.

The main Kurdish militia in northern Syria known as the People's Protection Units, or YPG, said in a statement that the town of Afrin and nearby villages have been subjected to airstrikes since late Thursday, adding that at least three people were wounded.

Syria's United States backed Kurds are getting indirect help from an unlikely source in their war against Turkey in the northwestern region of Afrin: President Bashar al-Assad. Muslim does not fear being abandoned by the US-led coalition.

Russian Federation imposed a block on Turkish flights over northern Syria last week after one of its jets...

The US did not lift a finger when Turkey attacked the Kurds in Afrin, however, revealing that its alliances are fragile and leaving the Kurds alone to confront the Turkish war machine.

Since 2012, UOSSM has been providing emergency medical relief and healthcare services to the Syrian people affected by the crisis, working primarily inside Syria and with Syrian refugees in Turkey. Turkey has always been one of the main allies of the anti-Assad rebels. Paul Vallely, a retired US Army Major General and Chairman of the Stand Up America organization, warned that unless Washington changes course in Syria more clashes are bound to erupt between the opposing forces. "I know that has been one of the motivations of the United States", Vallely told RT.

This came in response to a report that USA -led coalition forces had carried out a series of air and artillery strikes against pro-Assad forces, which, according to coalition sources, killed an estimated 100 fighters.

"The worldwide alliance against Daech, they are still there, and ethically they should stand beside us".
