Cleveland Cavaliers' GM Koby Altman makes all the right moves: Crowquill

LeBron James now has the Cavs pointed in the right direction

Jones, of course, is at least a bit familiar of the Cavs' locker room landscape, as he was a part of the Cleveland squad that took home the National Basketball Association title in 2016, appearing in 15 playoff games that year.

There were some teams that didn't want to wait and did some tinkering Thursday.

The 64 points the Celtics allowed in the first half were the most they've given up before halftime all season long.

The Cleveland Cavaliers looked like a completely different team as they made a Celtics team that beat them by 24 just over five weeks ago look like the team the Cavs were less than a week ago.

The Boston Celtics (40-17) host the Cleveland Cavaliers (32-22) on Sunday at 3:30 PM ET. It's unlikely he'll be any more willing to delve into the topic at that point.

James, who turned an ankle in Friday's 123-107 victory against the Atlanta Hawks, returned to the game in Boston with 8:58 to play in second quarter.

Altman completed three trades involving four teams, sending six players and two draft picks out the door for four players and one draft pick in return. Boston formally signed free-agent center but didn't unlock the safe containing its pile of future draft assets while considering further bench upgrades. Monroe won't have to do too much for the Celtics on any given night, but anything that he can do throughout the rest of the season will definitely help out the Celtics. Cleveland was the story Thursday. Prior to the trade deadline, the narrative was that the Cavs were broken, Dan Gilbert had wrested control of the team away from first-year GM Koby Altman, and it was only a matter of time before LeBron was headed out the door.

Stevens had more pressing concerns, including how to integrate Monroe into the lineup. Irving chipped in with 18 points (7-14 FG), three rebounds and five assists.

Kyrie Irving and the Celtics staved off a Washington comeback to win in overtime. It was obvious that tensions were at an all-time high within the locker room.

"We don't have a lot of time", Lue said before the game. "I think with that, with those pieces we got in Boston, we were able to use that with value to get some of those pieces that I call fountains, that are going to add to the excitement of the building and add to the culture that I'm trying to establish". With LeBron, I feel like they're going to be explosive. "It's just a matter of time".

"It's always tough when you lose teammates", James said. There has been speculation that this will be his final season in Cleveland.

"I'm really not sure", he said.

It wasn't until LeBron and the loaded Miami Heat won back-to-back titles in 2012 and 2013 in the middle of a four-year run of Finals that he finally found out what it was like to have it all. "But I wanted to see a renewed sense of joy in him, and being around him the last 24 hours has been great". The over/under betting line for total number of points scored is 212.5.

"The first [call] was nowhere near a foul". "Him and Steven Adams, and I've got to see him next". The second was a foul. I'm glad I made my three free throws.

Tyson Chandler already has a lot of playoff experience and even though he may seem kind of washed out, he's still an elite rebounder and rim protector despite his age, and he just needs a competitive environment to prove he's still got it.
