The TDP's MP, Rammohan Naidu made the statement while protesting against the BJP and forcing an adjournment motion in the Rajya Sabha over the lack of grant to Andhra Pradesh in the recently presented Union Budget 2018.

He said that many works related to the state's development were "at a very advanced stage" and that various central ministries have been asked to look into and take "early decisions" related to various demands of the state.

As the tensions between the government of Andhra Pradesh and the Central government remain prevalent, the Centre has released a sum of Rs 1,269 crore to the state in a clear bid to appease the aggravated Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and its leaders.

Andhra Pradesh has been demanding the Centre to allocate special funds for various projects in the state, and also honour promises and commitments made in the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014.

The Lok Sabha adjourned on Friday for almost a month-long recess amid unrelenting protests by Andhra Pradesh MPs demanding more central assistance for the state and Congress members raising questions about the Rafale aircraft deal.

"Just because we don't speak doesn't mean we have not done anything for Andhra Pradesh. Stop this", he said and suggested that the TDP should resolve the matter through a dialogue with the Finance Minister. He even performed a tantrik puja outside Parliament in the morning, seeking special staus for Andhra Pradesh.

The Centre will bear all revenue deficit for the entire period of the 14th finance commission and a total of Rs 22,113 crores will be paid to Andhra Pradesh as grant for the five- year period. But as per the state government, the problem is far from over. "A resolution with regard to determination about the final amount payable, has been discussed and now discussions are on and difference in perception has narrowed down", Jaitley told the upper house.
