London's Mayor sat down and flicked through a paper when his speech was disrupted

Dismissing the President's excuse that he didn't want to visit London because the new US embassy had been a bad financial deal, Kassam - - laid the blame squarely on the shoulders of leading Labour party figures including the leader of the opposition Jeremy Corbyn, and London mayor Sadiq Khan - both of whom have done all but promise massive street actions against the President should he visit the city.

After Trump declared his disapproval with London's new United States embassy as the reason for cancelling his visit to the city, Madame Tussauds placed a waxwork of the President outside the building, CNN reported.

Mr Khan's address to a Fabian Society conference in central London had to be suspended for several minutes as a handful of demonstrators from the White Pendragons group called for the mayor to be arrested as they made statements in support of Mr Trump and Brexit.

The incident occurred after Khan said the USA president "finally got the message" that he is "not welcome" in the United Kingdom after Trump announced he will not be visiting in February to open the new U.S. embassy as planned.

Footage appeared to show the moment the activists interrupted Mr Khan's speech, just as the mayor was introduced to the stage.

Far-right supporters holding aloft American flags hackled and attempted to perform a "citizen's arrest" of London Mayor Sadiq Khan on Saturday.

Police eventually escorted the demonstrators away.

Audience members began to heckle and slow-clap, and security guards entered the auditorium.

"We stand under common law jurisdiction", he said, as quoted by Sky News.

Making light of the situation, he joked at the expense of Trump, "It is a pleasure to be here, even though we were distracted by the actions of what some would call very stable geniuses".

'If you touch us, you'll be done for common assault.

President Trump got the message from the many Londoners, Khan said. Please stand back, do not touch us.

He also accused The Fabian Society, where Mr Khan was about to speak, of "subverting" the constitution.
