Fire broke out at Cinevista studio in Mumbai on Saturday

The fire at Cinevista is reportedly of level 2 and according to a video shared by a user on Twitter, huge flames can be seen coming out of the building.

According to reports, the fire department received a call at around 8 pm and the fire engines reached the spot at 8:25 pm.

Quoting eyewitnesses, NewsX reported that the fire took place on the sets of TV show Bepannaah.


"The fire broke out at Cine Vista studio on LBS Road at around 8 pm", said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 7) Akhilesh Singh.

"The fire is confined to the ground plus one studio, and electric wiring and studio equipment is on fire in the 3,000 square feet area of the studio", a Fire Brigade official said. The incident of fire at Cinevista Studio comes to light just a few days after a fire at Kamala Mills compound claimed 14 lives. Cinevista studio is constructed across a 5-acre property that is a one-stop shop for all shooting needs. Fire officials said around 100-150 people, said to be crew members of an ongoing shoot in the studio, were successfully evacuated from the spot.
