Soulcalibur VI announced for PS4, Xbox One, and PC

The next entry in the long-running SoulCalibur series of fighting games, SoulCalibur 6 was revealed at The Game Awards 2017. Since Soulcalibur 5, Bandai Namco re-released an HD version of Soulcalibur 2 and released Soulcalibur: Lost Swords, a free-to-play version of the game based on Soulcalibur 5. The announcement was made by the game producer along with Katsuhiro Harada, the producer of the Tekken series.

For those unfamiliar, the Soulcalibur series differentiates itself from other fighting with its focus on weapon use and a unique historical fantasy setting.

Soulcalibur VI hacks and slashes its way onto PC, Xbox One, and PS4 in 2018.

You'll see the game's first trailer after the jump below, but here are a few stills to get you started.

The last mainline SoulCalibur game released over five years ago for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Of the two, it's been the more accessible title.
