His death came a day after he posted a photo on his Instagram with the caption: "When I die, you'll love me".

She continued: "I have spoken to his mother and she asked me to convey that she is very, very proud of him and everything he was able to achieve in his short life".

Lil Peep posted a series of grim Instagram messages just hours before he was found dead on his tour bus at the age of 21 on Wednesday, November 15.

Born Gustav Åhr, the Long Island rapper and singer blended emo and hip hop for a distinctive singing and rapping style which often highlighted his drug use.

Meanwhile, the 20-year-old Thorne also shared two videos of Lil Peep via her Instagram Story.

Sarah Stennett, chief executive officer of First Access Entertainment, which partnered with the rapper a year ago, said in a statement to CNN that she was "shocked and heartbroken". Tucson police suspect he overdosed on the anti-anxiety medication Xanax, though an official cause of death has not been announced. The former Disney Channel star said that a lot of fans know the rapper as a good and talented musician, but he's an even greater person.
