Ben Affleck recently made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and when it came to the topic of his close friend Matt (last name Damon), he revealed that both of them actually auditioned for the role of Robin in Tim Burton's Batman.

Justice League opens in theaters on November 17, 2017. Alongside the iconic pairing of Affleck and Damon, the trailer also features Jennifer Aniston, Zach Galifianakis, Jason Bateman, Will Arnett, Cousin Sal, Jon Hamm, Shaq, Ty Burrell, Billy Crudup, Jake Tapper and Wanda Sykes. "So I was able to start this really, really exciting superhero project that's my next thing, and it's awesome".

The filmmaker delivered a almost seven-minute trailer for a "The Terrific Ten", a superhero flick based on a comic book that Kimmel penned when he was about 10 years old.

"That's so sad though, in a way, that you went on to become Batman - not only didn't he get to be Robin, he's like begging for little bit parts in Thor." ". "And they demanded to be brought to life".

Kimmel is referring to Matt Damon's recent cameo in Thor: Ragnarok, where he played an Asgardian actor dressed as Loki.

"That was the best gift I ever got", Kimmel said. Unbelievable. Thank you, J.J. Abrams, thank you, Ben Affleck.

This is probably never going to happen, but I would totally be up for Hollywood using this trailer as the basis for a feature-length parody on the superhero genre.

On the red carpet for the premiere of his new Justice League movie, Affleck was asked what plans he has for Thanksgiving.
